Is a project with the objective of helping all of our at risk students access the same classroom teachers and materials as their peers. The darasani program is based on the Tanzanian education system Darasani – elimu kiganjani and latest technology for effective teaching instruction.
This darasani project addresses the major challenge of how can all students access quality education content. The project focuses on developing educational media to aid students in understanding core education concepts. The project will also provide instructional tools to assist teachers in using these media.
The intellectual merit of this project resides in using and practicing information technologies as a means for under-represented students to access the same high quality education if not higher than their peers in cities and urban centers of Tanzania. The project also brings together teaching experts and information technology with public school and community leaders to deliver a systemic, focused, year-round enrichment model.
The broader impact of the project is the development of a model that uses information technology to support linguistically and culturally diverse girls in applying 21st century workforce know-how to their own development as future leaders.
Darasani is a project of Bintisoma. The short term goal of Darasani is to establish itself in the industry with at least 2,000,000 subscribing students in the first two years of operations and provide a steady cash flow for the project to enter the growth period within 3 years of its operation.
The program was launched with the specific goal of developing and building a girl's self-esteem and love of school.
